HVAC Mechanics and Installers are in high demand! The job outlook is at 6% which is higher than the average job outlook! Most companies prefer entry-level employees to have some form of “Postsecondary nondegree award” which is just a fancy way of saying they want candidates with some form of training in the field, and we are going to give you exactly that! 🌟 12-Week Paid Internship: First things first, let's talk about that cosmic paycheck. We believe in your potential, so from day one, you'll be earning while you're learning. 🪐 Mentoring by Experts: Our HVAC gurus, also known as the Comfort Guardians, have a combined experience of over a century (yes, you read that right!). You'll have the opportunity to learn from the best in the business. They'll be your guides as you navigate the HVAC galaxy.
🛰️ Technical Training in Our LMS System: We know you're eager to soak up knowledge, so we've got a state-of-the-art Learning Management System (LMS) packed with technical training materials. It's like having your own library of HVAC wisdom right at your fingertips.
🔧 On-the-Job Hands-On Training: Theory is great, but nothing beats real-world experience. Get ready to roll up your sleeves and dive into the exciting world of HVAC with on-the-job training. You'll be out in the field, getting your hands dirty and gaining valuable skills.
Responsibilities
Assist experienced Comfort Guardians with installations, programming, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of heating and air systems
Learn how to use cutting edge software and technology, along with a variety of hand-tools, to help diagnose and repair equipment
Learn to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs by gathering materials and assisting on-site work
Learn how to monitor system performance, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement or optimization
Learn how to perform an annual routine maintenance on heating and air equipment
Understand indoor air quality and solutions
Other duties as assigned
Schedule
40+ hours per week
Over-time
Nights and weekends
On-call
Start time either 6am or 8am
No set scheduled end time
Pay
Compensation is hourly and based on work experience, no HVAC experience required
Starting pay $15-20 per hour during internship
Possibility of permanent hire or extension of internship at the end of 90-day period
Requirements
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to follow instructions, including all safety procedures
Ability to lift 50+ pounds independently
Must have reliable transportation
Must have valid driver's license
Must be able to work in a smoke-free environment. Must remain smoke free during entire shift, and agree not to smoke or use tobacco (in any form) on duty during the tenure of their employment
Be at least 18 years old
